RIBBLE Valley Modern Pentathlon Team held its first multi sport event with competitors from far afield taking part in the Biathlon, Triathlon and Tetrathlon.
The host club made up the majority of the field but competitors came from as far as Warrington, Kirkham and Shropshire.
The event was split in to junior and senior age groups with boys and girls competing at under 11s, 13s, 15s and 17s with Open and Master classes for the seniors.
In the youngest age group, the Biathlon winners were Alice Jackson of Newton Hall and Bryn Phillip of Ribble Valley. Helen Schofield of Ribble Valley and Jack Corbett of Ashton won the Triathlon.
Helen Schofield won the best shot with Stephanie Drew of Kirkham winning the best swim and Alice Jackson of winning the best run.
In the boys event, Jack Corbett recorded the best shot with the best run and best swim coming from Bryn Phillip.
In the under 13s age group, Georgina Grandfield from Shropshire won the Biathlon event with Rachael Maune of Newton Hall winning the Triathlon.
Sally Rowland won best shot, Victoria Crawford best swim and Georgina Grand best run.
In the boys event, it was the same top three placings in both the Biathlon and Triathlon. Aaron Sharples of Newton won both events -- and also recorded the best shot and best swim -- with Ashton pair Steven Kinsey and Ciaran Doherty in second and third place.
Sharples and Kinsey were tied for the best run.
Charlotte Grandfield won the Biathlon event in the under 15s age group with Katy Burke of Fleetwood top girl in the Triathlon. Burke had the best shot with Grandfield recording the best run and swim.
In the boys event, Ribble Valley's Michael Smith won both the Biathlon and Triathlon and also recorded the best run. Chris Waddington, also of Ribble Valley, had the best shot while Andrew Houghton of Newton Hall had the best swim.
Sarah Vandewalle of Warrington won the under 17s Biathlon with Chloe Wylde from Shropshire won the Triathlon
Wylde also recorded the best shot while best swim went to Samantha Jackson of Fleetwood while Louise Highton of Ribble Valley had the best run.
In the boys event, Toby Banfield of Ribble Valley completed a double by winning the Biathlon and Triathlon with Banfield completed a clean sweep in the shot, run and swim. And in the Masters event, Julie Pimm of Ribble Valley and Ivor Cooke of Newton Hall were the stars of the show after winning both the Biathlon and Triathlon.
In the Tetrathlon, which included fencing, shooting, running and swimming, young Elizabeth Highton was in first place while her sister Louise recorded the best fencing figures, winning 19 of her 24 bouts.
Luke Minn won the boys event with Chris Moffatt in second place.
