Residents across the district are set to benefit from a quarter of a million pound grant to help subsidise home insulation.
Lancaster City Council, working in partnership with London Electricity, has just secured funding of £80,000 per year for the next three years to enable any householder within the district to have cavity wall insulation installed at much less than half price.
The initiative is anticipated to improve between 400 and 500 homes per year.
Cllr David Barker said: "This scheme will not only make your home warmer but will save you money and help save the environment."
