PICKET lines were set-up at Wigan and Leigh College on Tuesday when further education lecturers and support staff held a one-day national strike in protest at a 2.3% pay offer.
Unions say the offer is the lowest this year in the public sector and they are seeking a 'substantial increase' to reduce the 12% pay gap between college and schools staff.
