AS a television viewer I am most concerned about the way some of it is presented, and also the current trend.

Take The Bill for instance, it is about the thin blue line, the police, the saviours of all decent people and yet on screen it is shown as a soft joke.

The writer should be made to account for all the trash produced and start to protect, not destroy a worthwhile cause.

Remember, children watch the soaps and think that what they have seen is good to put into practice.

Another example is Coronation Street. A mature teacher is being and has been preyed on for weeks and yet the producer always lets the delinquent. All the soaps tend to favour the scoundrel and the producers'' biggest concern is the ratings.

The guilt is his and the writers who perform with him. One asks oneself does he ecognise the difference between right and wrong?
