HAIRDRESSER and beauty shop owner Nicola Leigh was left with a swell problem when she and two staff became pregnant.
But a staffing crisis was eased when understanding customers found out about the baby news.
And it was a nappy ending for the trio when they all gave birth to healthy boys within a space of seven weeks.
Beauty therapist Alison Stocks-Rogers (30) was first to give birth when Noah was born on July 31.
Second to arrive was Nicola's son, Connor, on August 17, followed by Tyler, who was born to hairdresser Karen Haigh (31) on September 20.
Nicola, who owns P'Hairfection hairdressers and adjacent beauty salon And Now For Me in Parr Lane, Unsworth, said it was a shock when she learned how close the pregnancies were to each other, and the effect it could have had on the business.
She said: "I cried when I found out. But in the end it has turned into a nice experience.
"The customers have been really good and understanding because we have been short staffed," said Nicola (34), who also has a ten-year-old daughter Charlotte.
She expects to have a full complement of staff by Christmas.
And she has introduced a new company policy: no more babies!
