A 79-YEAR-OLD woman from Nelson will be able to keep herself in tip-top condition after winning two months of free swimming.
Rebecca Calvey, of Waidshouse Road, is a regular visitor to Pendle Wavelengths and took advantage of the centre's Early Bird sessions.
Everyone who attends the sessions gets their card stamped each time they arrive and their names are entered in a free prize draw.
The sprightly pensioner was the lucky winner and will be able to go swimming without it costing her penny throughout November and December.
She also won a box of chocolates and a bunch of flowers.
Anne Meacham, lead operations manager, said: "She was very pleased with her win. She comes swimming nearly every day to the early bird sessions and comes during the day as well sometimes.
"It is obviously doing her a lot of good and she is a fine example to us all."
