HUNDREDS of Preston youngsters braved wet and windy weather to take part in a unique tournament in Preston.
The competition organised by Fihswick Rangers Football Club attracted teams from around the region and took place at two different venues. In the morning the under 11s turned out in force at the Preston Sports Arena in Cottam.
Home side Fishwick ran out as surprise winners after beating Deepdale All-stars 1-0 in the final.
Goal-machine Aadil Ugradar claimed the man of the tournament trophy after scoring 15 times throughout the tournament.
Later in the day the competition moved to Westview Leisure Centre where in the under 15s section Fishwick Rangers were again in top form beating an exciting Canaries 2-0. Canaries had earlier knocked out the Blackburn challenge - Audley Boys in the semi's.
In the under 18s section Young blood stopped it being a Fishwick triple when they won the final 1-0.
Organisers wish to thank Preston Muslim Forum and Summer Splash for all their assistance in helping make this a successful day for the youngsters.
