MORE than 100 juniors recently took part in Myerscough College Golf Academy's annual Junior Golf Competition.
The six competition categories ranged from aged six and under to aged 13 and over, including a handicap category.
A beginner's four-hole competition was staged for the six and under age ranges. The rest of the juniors played the full nine-hole course.
Prizes were awarded for winner and runner up, as well as for 'nearest the pin' and 'longest drive'. Also announced were the winners of the boys and girls 'Junior Improver of the Year' award.
The college acadamy's head junior coach, Nick Barren, said: "It was an outstanding performance by all of the juniors. I am sure, with continued effort and support, some of them will be on the amateur circuit in the next few years."
