AS a life-long resident of Ramsbottom, I feel that our town is slowly being taken over by "out-of-townies". It is now a cross between Hollyoaks (because of all the families coming in from Cheshire) and Moss Side.
You cannot walk down the street any more without seeing drug dealing going on and feeling intimidated by the gangs of "scallies" hanging around. And the girls are just as bad as the lads.
As a council tax-payer in Ramsbottom, I would like to know where the "local bobbies" are, as you never see one walking around the streets and the station always seems to be shut.
C. GREEN,
Ramsbottom.
