BURNLEY boss Stan Ternent will demand more of the same from his players tomorrow as they welcome Coventry City to Turf Moor.

He is determined it won't be a case of "after the Lord Mayor's show" following the outstanding cup defeat of Spurs on Wednesday night.

"The league is the priority for us and we have got to get going again," he said, as he reflected on a run of three successive defeats in the first division.

"We have got to repeat the performance from the other night because that is the standard we have now set ourselves. I hope that the Spurs win will be the springboard for us in the league.

"We have shown what we are capable of but we know it will be tough against Coventry tomorrow because they are a good side. Gary McAllister looks to be doing a good job, they have got good players and they will come here and play 4-5-1 and make it difficult for us.

"But we did the double over Coventry last season and I hope that we can do that again. It is another big game for us."

Ternent has the same squad of players available for tomorrow's match as against Spurs, with Ian Cox and Gordon Armstrong his only injury worries, but he must decide whether to stick with 4-4-2 or restore Ian Moore to the side in a three-man strikeforce.

He admitted: "It is good to have players like Dimi, Ian Moore and Andy Payton wanting to be involved and we are quite strong in the striking department.

"And it is brilliant that Dimi has been called up to the full Greek international side, it shows he is making progress."

Coventry boss Gary McAllister is expecting a tough afternoon and he said: "Burnley had a great result against Spurs and they have got some good players. We have had them watched quite a few times because we see them as one of those teams who did very well last season and we thought they would threaten this season.

"They obviously started slowly but they are coming on and showed what they can do against Spurs."

In that match the link up play between Robbie Blake and Glen Little was again vital and the Sky Blues will be made well aware of their threat.

"Blake and Little are two players I like," said the man who will be lining up against them in the centre of Coventry's midfield. "They combine very well and have a nice understanding.

"But the whole team can play and so it should be a good football match. We just have to make sure we make it count when we have good spells rather than have the match hang on one mistake. We have got to try to make teams suffer."

But before the game all eyes will be on the draw for the Worthington Cup fourth round, on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday programme.

Eight North West teams are still in the draw.
