A CLASSIC tale of suspense and intrigue is the next production by Leyland's C'est Tous Theatre Company.
JB Priestley's An Inspector Calls was written in the 1940s and recently revived on Broadway. Now C'est Tous are taking on the play.
A spokesman said: "It's suitable for a family audience. It's almost a thriller.
"We get a lot of schools coming along, because it's on the curriculum. It's a wordy piece but very interesting and clever."
The play centres around the upper-middle class Birling household and how the family members' lives are thrown into turmoil when mysterious Inspector Gools turns up to investigate the death of a young girl who committed suicide. One by one the characters reveal evidence that could help reveal why she took her life.
The play is full of tension keeping adults and children alike on the edge of their seats. Parents will love the clever script and the children will enjoy keeping an eye out for their favourite parts of the play after studying in class at school!
An Inspector Calls opens at the Marsden Theatre, Worden Park, Leyland, on November 11. It runs in the afternoons, along with evening performances of classic tale Dr Faustus.
The production runs until November 25 with matinee performances at 12.30pm. Dr Faustus starts at 7.30pm. For information call 431300.
