A BLACKPOOL man has trekked 42 miles to raise £600 for a children's charity.
Roy Malkin of Clifton Drive, took part in the annual 42-mile Keswick to Barrow hike to benefit the Tiny Tim Centre in Coventry.
The centre provides free remedial massage treatment for children.
Roy was accompanied was accompanied by fellow Blackpool Rugby Club member Mark Saunders and completed the hike in 10 hours.
"Despite no real training and not really being a walker, it wasn't as bad as I anticipated -- but I wouldn't volunteer to do it again," said the educational reintegration worker.
Roy heard about the Tiny Tim Centre from his wife Debbie who is a manipulative therapist.
