SCOTT Cardle continued his dominant form with a powerful display at the ABA Novice Championships held at Greenlands Labour Club in Preston on Monday night.
13-year-old Scott, a pupil at St Bedes School in Lytham outpunched and outclassed Lewis Buckley (Chorley ABC) in a close fought contest.
The favourite, Buckley, had started the bout undefeated and used his height and age advantage in the first round.
By the end of the second, the match was even. The third round proved to be the most explosive and the Lytham boxer took control with classy body shots and unrelenting pressure which had the cheering crowd on their feet.
At the bell the judges scored the contest 22-21 in Cardle's favour.
