MANCHESTER United star Phil Neville was today criticised by neighbours in Rossendale over a fireworks party they claimed was too noisy.
The bonfire display which was said to have taken place at the couple's home in Crawshawbooth was condemned by some residents of the village who said it sounded like 'war had broken out' last night.
One neighbour has branded the soccer star and his wife, former Burnley schoolgirl Julie, "inconsiderate" for not warning people about their bonfire celebrations.
Sue Lawson, of Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth, said: "The residents of Crawshawbooth were subject to a barrage of mini explosions which terrified children, dogs and cats.
"Adults were jumping and likened it to thinking World War 3 had broken out."
A man answering the intercom at the Neville's house today told a reporter: "It's got nothing to do with you. Go home."
Another neighbour who lives in Rush Bed, off Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth, said: "I have lived here for 20 years and I have got to say that I have never heard anything quite like the noise last night."
