FIREFIGHTERS were called to Glasdon, Preston New Road, Blackpool at 10.40am this morning (Tuesday) after reports of a blaze in the single storey plastics factory.
Six engines attended the fire, which started in the quality assurance (QA) testing facilities.
A Glasdon spokeswoman said staff followed "normal fire drills" and were evacuated to safety. "We are pleased to say that no-one has been injured or affected," she said.
"There has been some amount of damage restricted to the QA facility but this will not affect the warehousing operation which is predominant on this site and business will continue as normal."
And she thanked fire crews for "their prompt and efficient response".
