OVER 2000 students from across the North West have been gaining a real insight into Army life after taking part in an exciting careers exhibition at Altcar Training Camp in Merseyside.
The pupils tried their hand at a range of challenging physical and mental activities at the Army event, from team building tasks and paintball ranges, to assault courses and music with a military band. The local pupils also talked to the soldiers about the wide range of Army career opportunities available.
A free membership scheme - Camouflage - is also available exclusively to 13 -17 year olds who are currently too young to join up but are interested in finding out more about a career in The Army. People can find out more information or register for Camouflage by logging on at www.mycamouflage.co.uk
Captain Phil Atkinson, Army Careers Adviser, said: "All of the students participating in the Army exhibition have the chance to gain a true taste of Army life, as well as developing their personal and leadership skills. It's also a chance for teachers to have a better understanding of the Army, and what careers it has to offer."
