A MAJOR consultation exercise is to begin shortly to help plan public services for Pendle over the next 10 to 15 years.
The consultation hopes to discover what services local people want in the next decade and beyond and what their views and concerns are about existing services covering health, housing, education, transport, leisure and the environment.
Comments made by local people will form the basis of a vision for Pendle and from this a Community Strategy for the Borough will be developed by March 2003.
Members of the public are being invited to attend one of the following consultation days:
Between 10am and 1pm, on Saturday, 2nd November 2002 at Brierfield Community Centre
Between 6pm and 9pm on Wednesday, 6th November 2002 at Colne Municipal Hall
Between 10am and 1pm, on Saturday, 9th November 2002 at Barnoldswick Civic Hall
Between 6pm and 9pm on Monday, 11th November 2002 at Barley Village
Hall
