This week with BRYAN DOUGLAS, legendary former Blackburn Rovers star
EWOOD Park's favourite wizard of the wing finds magic of a different sort in the landscapes close to his Darwen home.
"My wife Joyce and I like to get in the car and drive off through Ribchester to Chipping in the Forest of Bowland," he said.
"It's a beautiful old village with lots of character, and you can see some marvellous wildlife in the area."
Bryan also loves to walk in the town where he lives -- and particularly in Sunnyhurst Woods.
"It's a beautiful place at any time, even though the floods this year did a lot of damage and made some of the top paths a bit dodgy.
"But it's lovely to walk around there," he added.
Further afield, Bryan and Joyce enjoy a trip to Lytham, with its quaint old shops and coffee houses.
"The walk along the seafront to Fairhaven is particularly beautiful on a summer's evening," said the diminutive former winger, who is a giant in the history of Blackburn Rovers.
