FOUR dancers from Blackburn are a step closer to fame after being selected for a professional pantomime and for the three youngest it is their first time.
Cheryl Watkinson, 26, Chantelle Leyland-Dewhurst, 16, Gemma Gregory, 16, and Kimberley Spencer, 15, will perform in the panto Aladdin in Chorley.
For the three youngest it is their first time in a professional show.
They were selected for the panto at All Seasons Leisure Centre, on Water Street, three weeks ago after a gruelling audition.
The four dancers at Pat Eaket's School of Dancing, Town Hall Street, Blackburn, took four of the five advanced dance positions and will perform in various dancing and mime roles.
The pantomime runs from December 10 to 14 with shows at 10am, 1.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 or £4.50 with a concession and are available by calling 01257 515000.
