STUDENTS from Ivy Bank Business and Enterprise College helped launch the college's new company which will design a new school uniform.
Headteacher Stephen Ball unveiled what the future has in store for the Byron Street college after Ivy Bank was named one of only 18 specialist business and enterprise centres in the country. All pupils who meet attendance targets at the college will become shareholders in the company and it is expected that it will have an annual turnover of £25,000 within the next three years.
The government will provide funding of £600,000 during the next four years and pupils will benefit from improved ICT facilities, which will be shared with other local schools and Burnley College.
