DEVOTION to her work has led to 52-year-old Lynne Sedgewick being crowned Burnley Asda's Top Lollipop Lady.
Lynne, of Lawrence Street, Padiham, spends every day whatever the weather making sure the children from St Leonard's Primary School in Padiham get back and forth across the road to school.
She had done the job for six and a half years and when Asda decided to run a competition to find the town's best lollipop lady or man, Lynne was voted for 66 times by the youngsters and their parents.
When she was asked why she liked her job, she said: "It is good job satisfaction to know that the children get in to school safe and well."
She was presented with a food hamper by some of the children from St Leonard's and Asda's deputy customer service manager, Wendy Marks.
