A PRESENTATION evening to celebrate the achievements of local volunteers will be held at the Open Door Centre, in Great George Street, Colne, on Friday, November 15, at 7pm.
Representatives of other local voluntary and community organisations who have worked with members of the project will also attend.
Sue Hogg, the Open Door Project's community development worker, said: "Volunteers are crucial in any local project such as ours. Without them we wouldn't be in business at all.
"This evening is to recognise and celebrate their achievements, both in terms of training and qualifications, but also for the hundreds of hours given to support the Open Door Project."
Every volunteer will be presented with a certificate of achievement and those who have gained qualifications through their volunteering will be presented with other certificates.
Accreditation in catering, food hygiene, first aid, teacher training and IT skills are among those undertaken by volunteers this year.
