I TOTALLY agree with Mr P Newton (Letters, January 17), who says that councillors who are not members of Blackburn with Darwen's executive eight don't have much chance of representing their ward members.
It appears these eight have supreme power in running this town, therefore making other ward councillors supernumerary.
This is not democratic: it is a dictatorship and needs stopping. People don't turn out to vote for this sort of local government administration where they cannot be fully represented.
