POLICE are trying to catch a fraudster who has targeted banks in four counties, including Lancashire, over the past six months.
The conman has entered banks posing as a customer and tricked staff into allowing him to make a counter withdrawal.
No violence has been used against members of staff during the raids.
Police have issued a photograph of the man, who has been active in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cumbria and Staffordshire.
Detective Constable Sam Mackenzie, of Lancashire Police, said: "The man makes no attempt to disguise himself and does not threaten the staff.
"He is clearly very calm and quite brazen when committing these offences."
Anybody with information is urged to contact detectives on 01253 604179.
