PADIHAM Leisure Centre is urging people to don their swimming costumes and make a big splash to raise money for charity.
The centre has teamed up with Macmillan Cancer relief to take part in the Butlins Swimathon 2003.
Staff at the Park Road centre have organised two swimathon sessions on Sunday March 23 and all money raised will be donated to the charity.
Barry Guttridge, the council's executive member for leisure, said: "Not only does all the money raised go to an excellent charity, it gives us all a challenge."
Participants can sign up for one of six swimming challenges. For more information pick up a leaflet at the leisure centre or contact 0845 3670036.
