PUPILS at Moorland High School, Darwen, did away with vandalism this week by painting their school toilets.
Members of the school council, which has been running since 2002, painted the year seven toilets thanks to a paint donation from Akzo Nobel.
Vincent Bambury, council member, said: "We sent a letter off to the company last year and they were good enough to give us some paint free and we are very grateful to them for that.
"We want to make the school a better place for the pupils and the council acts as a go-between for them and staff.
"People have vandalised the toilets by writing on the walls and it looks so much better with a lick of paint."
