DARWEN Civic Society has launched its 15th annual photographic competition today.
Eyesores in and about Darwen will be the theme for the 2003 exhibition. Schools and amateur photographers are invited to record an example of an eyesore in Darwen.
Geoff Tolley, event organiser, said: "The winning exhibits and selected entries will be on display in the Darwen Library exhibition room from September 20 to October 10."
Entries can be in colour or black and white and must not be slides. Two junior groups will be split into 11 to 16-year-olds and under-11s.
Entry forms are available at the library and Darwen Town Hall. Entries must be returned to the library by Monday, September 15. For details call Geoff on 01254 774929.
