A MACHINIST caught over the limit in the early hours got behind the wheel to escape a row, a court was told..
Burnley Magistrates heard James Carl Robinson, 21, only went a short distance.
Robinson, of Clarence Street, Colne, admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £100, with £55 costs and banned for two years.
Nick Dearing, defending, said Robinson had had an argument with friends staying over. He foolishly made the decision to drive a short distance but could not explain why.
