ENDURO champions Gary Parr and his mate Craig Chadwick blew the opposition away to take the spoils for Leigh in the Welsh Experts Four Stroke Championships.
A brilliant performance throughout a gruelling season's riding saw Gary, of Maple Crescent, retain the title for the second successive season with Craig, of Schofield Street, hot on his heels.
Racing against the country's top competitors the duo topped the table after the eight round series with each race lasting an energy-sapping four hours. They powered their Swedish-built Husaberg race machines through punishing terrain including knee deep mud, streams, rock strewn climbs and tree-lined forestry tracks at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.
And on Sunday they'll start chasing championship points again -- with Gary after a title hat-trick -- with the first round of the 2003 championships at Llandovery in Mid-Wales.
"We'll be up at the crack of dawn and away. It's a great sport. We're always off to Wales to practise for events," said bike-mad Craig who works for Dave Clarke, the UK Husaberg importer who backs the dynamic duo.
