BEER drinkers from as far afield as Kent travelled to Atherton to sample the delights of what looks likely to be another record-breaking charity Beer Bash.
Around 2,500 visitors flocked to the Formby Hall for the Bent and Bongs Bash organised by Atherton and Tyldesley round Table and real ale champions CAMRA.
"It could be the best yet, we didn't have a quiet day, but we won't know until all the sponsorship money comes in. The feedback was good including compliments from a man who'd travelled from Maidstone for the event," said festival beer manager Brian Gleave.
