A DISGRUNTLED shopper has written to complain about the state of the footpaths leading from Wigan Road, Leigh, to Asda.
She says following the so-called improvements to the land on the by-pass side of the Marsh Playing Fields the paths are non-existent as the land is a foot deep in mud and slurry.
The previous 10 minute walk time has now been more than doubled because people are forced to take the long way round in both directions.
Apparently the footbridge there is neither use to man nor beast as it leads straight onto the morass.
I don't know if the area is bad because of work, but the weather won't have helped. It seems to me no footpaths are easy to walk on after the horrendous non-stop rain we've suffered. It's three steps forward two back everywhere I go.
Perhaps whoever is responsible will take a look and help to clear the mess.
