HOURS devoted to caring for others show that the career of budding medic Victoria Grabowski has a very healthy prognosis.
The 16-year-old, of Parkhills Road, Bury, earned an award from the Soroptimists Club of Ramsbottom for voluntary work in her spare time.
Aspiring paediatrician Victoria is a regular Wednesday evening helper at the Re:d Centre in Morley Street, which provides activities for disabled youngsters.
The Bury Grammar pupil also spends time lending a hand at the Primrose Cottage Home for the Elderly and has undertaken a first-aid course to broaden her skills.
As well as being presented with a certificate by Soroptimist president Anne Cheetham, Victoria was rewarded with a bouquet of flowers.
Victoria's dad Robert, who along with mum Hilary nominated her for the award, said: "She is a very busy girl and we are very proud.
"Victoria is very focused and has wanted to be a doctor since she was young."
