A FORMER traffic warden has returned to the streets as Darwen's new community support officer.
Nick Gisicz once patrolled the streets to catch illegally parked drivers, but now he's out to tackle anti-social behaviour and juvenile nuisance.
Sgt Anne Scott, Problem Oriented Policing co-ordinator, said: "It's a very good thing for Darwen.
"Nick's had three weeks training at Preston headquarters and it doesn't mean he's a police officer but he's worlds apart from a traffic warden.
"In Darwen he will be looking to tackle juvenile nuisance and it will be a full-time position, dedicated to the community."
Nick said: "I'm really looking forward to getting back into Darwen and taking on this new role."
