CAMPAIGNERS on Redvers Road, Darwen, have vowed to continue the fight to remove an unwanted path -- even though it is legal.
Residents have complained to the council for two months about a path leading from the end of Redvers Road to the new M65 Services.
They say they children walk down the street to the new McDonald's and residents have put up with increased noise, litter on the pavements and even graffiti.
Campaigner Stuart Chelton of Redvers Road, said: "At first we thought the council had no planning permission for the path but it appears the path is all above board but we were never told about it.
"We need to think about what to do next. I think it will just be appealing to common sense. We were never told about the path and it is causing a real problem for residents."
Blackburn with Darwen Council officers are continuing to look at the location of the path.
