HAVE you ever sat in a pub talking football when the subject gets around to Bury FC.
And you ask why they don't do this, that, or the other. You probably think they would never listen to your ideas.
Forever Bury was formed to recognise the outstanding work the fans put in to help save the club when it went into administration last year. The money the fans raised has been converted into shares in Bury FC and now makes the Forever Bury supporters society the largest shareholder in a football club anywhere in the country. The society has its own director on the Bury FC board and, in total, three of the five Bury FC directors are members of Forever Bury. But what does this mean?
Basically it now gives people the opportunity to put their idea(s) for the club forward at either a members meeting or in writing. If a majority of the members agree the idea(s) will be passed to the board of Bury FC for consideration. The board will then vote and a detailed explanation will be given as to why the idea was successful or not.
Please take this opportunity to join and remember this is your chance to have your say in the running of your football club.
