BURY College will officially launch itself as a Centre of Vocational Excellence in early years development and childcare at a celebratory evening on February 25.
It is already a leading provider of high quality vocational training in early years and childcare, and will continue to raise achievement and skills, increasing the number of qualified childcare workers to meet challenging Government priorities.
Mr Fred Bowen, chairman of Bury College Corporation, said: "Through the added benefits this CoVE brings we will be working closely with Hopwood Hall College, a joint CoVE, and the local community to improve childcare provision.
"We have many exciting plans in progress including the launch of our new sector-endorsed Early Years Foundation Degree Programme in partnership with Bolton Institute of Higher Education."
