GRAEME Souness is thought to be keeping a close eye on the form of Academy starlet Paul Gallagher.
The young striker has been earning some rave reviews for his performances with the Academy Under-19s recently.
And he also enhanced his growing reputation with a goal for the reserves in their 2-1 win over Leeds United on on Thursday night.
Although, it's unlikely he will get a first team call before the end of the season, Souness has clearly identified him as a player who could have a bright future.
"You can never say never in this game," said Souness, in regard to him being called up before the end of the season.
"But we are all very impressed with him."
My sources tell me, the Scottish FA are also thought to be monitoring the progress of the youngster very closely with a view to calling him up for one of their junior sides. Mr Souness may have an influence in that direction!
