ROVERS have fielded several calls from clubs enquiring about the possibility of taking Matt Jansen on loan.

As we revealed in Saturday's paper, Souness has admitted he would consider letting the 25-year-old striker go out on loan in a bid to get him some much-needed match action.

But any move would have to be right for the player and the club so both parties are currently weighing up the options.

"It's something we've talked about for a while and a couple of clubs have already been in touch," said chief executive John Williams.

"But we want to make sure we make the right decision so we are currently talking to Matt and his advisers about what he wants to do."
