SCOUTS from the Immanuel Group in Feniscowles are staging a 24-hour fast to help raise money for starving children.
The sponsored 'famine' is in aid of international development agency World Vision which will be channelling all money raised over the weekend of February 21 and 22 into providing emergency food and funding strategic programmes to assist some of the 15million people facing starvation in Southern Africa.
Scout leader Sandy Woods said the youngsters were very determined.
"Choosing to go hungry for one day is not hard and it is worth it," said Sandy. "It is our way of helping those who go hungry every day."
