PAUL Gallagher will look to enchance his reputation with another star performance in the FA Youth Cup tonight as Rovers take on Leeds in a fifth round clash at Elland Road.
Gallagher returns to the fold after being rested for the Under 19s game against Liverpool at the weekend.
And Academy Director Bobby Downes will look to the exciting young striker as the man to shoot down United after his hat-trick heroics against Exeter in the last round.
"Gally's just broken into the reserve side, he did well for them last Thursday, he's progressing very well, and he's brimming with confidence at the moment," said Downes.
"So Elland Road is a great stage for someone like him to grab the glory.
"He did that in the last round against Exeter by scoring a hat-trick and it would be great if he could do something similar again.
"But we've got a few players in our team who are capable of grabbing the limelight when they put their minds to it."
Rovers boast an excellent record in the competition having reached the final on two previous occasions in recent years.
And they have shown their quality again this season by brushing aside both Blackpool and Exeter to get to the last 16.
However, tonight's clash represents the toughest test the team have faced so far but Downes is relishing the chance for his young guns to test themselves on the big stage.
"It's going to be difficult but that's why you're in football for challenges like this," said the Rovers coach.
"Leeds are a good side and they've got one or two players who could cause us problems.
"Alan Lennon is very, very quick and he's going to be a threat, there's no doubt about that.
"But there's nothing to be scared of."
Schoolboy defender Luke Jones looks set to feature tonight in the absence of Jay McEveley, who was the skipper of the side until he got elevated to the first team just before Christmas.
"We wouldn't have asked for Jay anyway, to be honest," said Downes, refering to the fact his young protege is on England Under 21 duty tonight.
"We now look on him as a first team squad member."
Rovers' squad is: Drench, Whelan, Jones L, Bruce, Taylor, Black, Harkins, Corvino, Watt, Johnson, Gallagher, Weaver, Reid, Barker, Peter, Peers, Byrom, Walsh.
