PRESTON North End Women's FC beat Bolton Wanderers Ladies 3-2 on Sunday thanks to an own goal and a goalkeeping error.
They took the lead on 13 minutes when Alison Taberner's freekick deceived the Bolton keeper and the ball slipped through her legs.
Bolton equalised ten minutes later when a shot from out wide swung in on the strong wind. PNE went back in front on 37 minutes when Louise Cafferkey fired home.
PNE started the second half on the attack and extended their lead on 63 minutes when an Alison Taberner corner was headed in by a Bolton defender.
On 66 minutes Bolton grabbed a goal back but PNE managed to hold onto their lead and ran out deserved winners after a battling performance in atrocious conditions.
PNE Women's next match is away to Corwen in the League Cup on Sunday.
