A NEW scheme aimed at boosting learning in the community has been launched in Burnley.
The Rosehill Regeneration Programme, supported by the Community Empowerment Fund and overseen by New Era Enterprises, will offer a variety of opportunities for residents in the area such as degree courses and coaching certificates.
The scheme was launched at the Coaching House, Glen View Road, Burnley last night with an evening of IT tuition which will be repeated each week with equipment provided by Burnley College.
Burnley Mayor, Gordon Birtwistle, and Coaching House landlord Vinny Biriny, who is giving over the restaurant for the courses, both attended the launch.
