COUNTY council staff were left short of parking spaces after structural problems were found in the authority's main car park.
Engineers inspected the 150-space multi-storey car park in Pitt Street and closed it on Tuesday. The move will leave the county council with 570 parking spaces, for a staff of more than 1,000.
Staff are being encouraged to use the nearby park and ride facilities, although they will have to pay.
The city's St George's shopping centre car park was also closed on Tuesday after a lorry hit a wall.
The wall, at the back of the Royal Bank of Scotland, Fishergate, was found to be unstable, and the entrance to the multi-storey car park was closed.
Repairs were carried out over night, and the car park is now open as normal.
