A SPORTSTURF student from Myerscough College is currently enjoying placement year at a top golf club in the US.

Steven Clarke, who is studying for an HND in Turf Science and Golf Course Management, is based at Olympia Fields Country Club, near Chicago, chosen host of the prestigious US Open Golf Tournament this year.

The 18 month placement, which ends in September when Steven will return to Myerscough to complete his final year, was arranged through a student exchange programme run by The Ohio State University, with which Myerscough College has been closely involved for the past twenty years.
