A COUPLE of Leyland lovebirds are planning to tie the knot on the most romantic day of the year -- St Valentine's Day.
Kelly Magee, 23, and Stuart Singleton, 26, will be saying 'I do' on February 14 before jetting off for a honeymoon in Australia.
It was love at first sight for recruitment worker Kelly and Stuart, an engineer, after meeting in the town's Roebuck pub on a busy Saturday night three years ago.
After three months Stuart went down on one knee and popped the question!
Kelly said: "He asked me to go and choose a ring and I said 'yes'. He is really caring and considerate. My meal is on the table every night and he massages me to sleep. We love doing everything together; we share all the same hobbies." Kelly, who comes from Accrington, will wear a traditional wedding gown and the ceremony will take place at a church in her home town.
Her sister, Cheryl, 13, and friend Louise Campbell, 23, will escort Kelly down the aisle on her big day.
And, to the romantic couple, there is no better day to become man and wife than St Valentine's Day.
Kelly said: "It's such a romantic time of year and we wanted to spend it together. Getting married was the icing on the cake."
After the ceremony the couple will have a wedding breakfast at the Marriott Hotel, Garstang Road, Preston, before heading off to Malaysia and the Great Barrier Reef for their honeymoon.
