NEAR-THE-KNUCKLE comedian Mark Rough will welcome hecklers when he appears at Leigh's old 'Vic'.
Wearside's answer to Billy Connolly will appear next Thursday night from 8pm at The Victoria in Kirkhall Lane in aid of Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
As well as Mark's hilarious japes, entertainment includes raffles, joke competitions and a prize for the most original heckle!
Mark is renowned on the cabaret scene for his quickfire routine and is appearing in Leigh because he loves the town.
He says: "Leigh has a special place in my heart. I've spent a lot of time there and found people warm and friendly and free of the cynicism found in big cities. The Victoria is the sort of pub I used to play when I began my career, I'll be close to the audience and the banter and ale should be flowing.
"Cancer affects us all, hospices do a wonderful job and deserve all the support they can get"
Admission is free for The Mark Rough Comedy Roadshow, however collections will be made for the hospice on the night.
