POLICE in Blackpool have arrested seven people during dawn raids on the addresses of suspected drug dealers living in the resort.
The seven were all arrested during dawn raids at homes on Grange Park and are currently being questioned by officers.
An unknown quantity of drugs was seized during the raids and has been sent away for forensic identification.
The swoop comes on the back of a series of larger scale Operation Nimrod raids launched before Christmas as part of a crackdown on drugs in the town.
And brings the total number of people arrested during the operation up to 28.
The officer in charge of the operation, Superintendent Andy Rhodes said: "We are sending out a message to all drug dealers in the are they are not going to get away with their activities.
"And we will be launching further raids under Operation Nimrod by targeting addresses of suspected dealers in various geographical areas around Blackpool."
