VULNERABLE people in Rossendale could soon receive a better deal after helpers in the area agreed to join forces.
Voluntary and statutory agencies have signed an agreement designed to improve services by better training and avoiding service duplication.
The Statement of Intent also commits Lancashire County Council, Rossendale Council, Rossendale Partnership and Community Action in Rossendale to work together to improve services.
County Council leader Hazel Harding said: "There are hundreds of people working to help others in the voluntary and statutory sector in Rossendale alone.
"Working together will avoid duplication and also allow us to share our knowledge to improve what we do."
Organisations also hope that working together will increase their chances of winning grant assistance.
