BEDFORD High School pupils flew the flag for Leigh on a ski-ing holiday in Italy.
They impressed a Doncaster policeman staying at the same venue so much he sent a letter to head teacher Mr Stephen Preston congratulating the students on their conduct.
The officer, David Phillips, wrote that they were polite, courteous and respectful at all times and added: "It was a pleasure to see them enjoying a holiday abroad and representing their school in such a positive way."
Mr Preston said: "The students have lived up to the school's expectations. Leigh can be proud of the impression these young people have given -- true ambassadors abroad."
