FOR the third Saturday running everyone was well impressed by what they saw at Deepdale.
In a first half, which was probably our best 45 minutes of this unpredictable season, Millwall were brushed aside with nonchalant ease.
All the team played well but Dickson Etuhu, spurred on by the ever-impressive Brian O'Neil, was sensational in midfield.
And Eddie Lewis seems to be improving by the game, showing us just why Craig Brown was so determined to sign him during last year's World Cup.
But what about Carts? Yet another inspired performance from Mr PNE himself!
It's a pity then that just when we seem to have turned the corner, and we are all on a high, we have a blank weekend.
Let's hope the lads can keep the momentum going on the 22nd when Wolves are the next visitors.
An attempt to arrange a friendly match against Everton, who also have a blank weekend as they were put out of the cup by Shrewsbury, was unsuccessful.
The Premiership club say they have too many players away on international duty.
As we write nothing has been heard of any other game being arranged but you never know!
